Don't turnip your nose at this!

My latest creation, the turnip. 'Twas a fun learning experience.

But I've been told to paint less still lives because people don't like or want them. I disagree. For one thing, variety is the spice of life; two, people do like them and have bought them from me; and three, I haven't painted that many so what exactly is less?

With that being said, I do respect people's opinions and welcome them, but I don't necessarily agree with them. But I've learned a lot from them so keep them coming!

Thank you to Aunt Patsy for the reference photo.

This is one from the way-back machine. I haven't painted in a while mostly due to lots of work in my real job. It's break time now and I started a new painting today.

I'm hoping to finish it tomorrow but in the meantime I'm pulling this up from a past post. Sometimes I get in the mood to paint flowers and this happens. I hope you like it.

Trying to remember, I think this was a 5x7
