Rocky Shore

I should really call this Another Rocky Shore because I'm pretty sure I have another painting with this name  :D

I saw a similar painting in a video on you tube so I can't call this an original but I changed it around to suit me as I usually do.

I'm hoping to plein air with my sister in the next few weeks so be on the lookout for an original shore painting very soon!

You may never fully see what is just over the horizon if you keep beating yourself up against the rocky shore. You have to venture out just a little farther to change the direction of your own personal tide.

Buddy

This painting is from a raffle I was involved in with Community Pet Care & the Animal Welfare Society of New Jersey.

I was honored to be the artist who painted the portrait for the raffle winner.  The dog's name is Buddy and I had a blast painting him.

Community Pet Care is the rescue and adoption division of AWSNJ . Our mission is to help animals in need from the over crowded shelters & owner surrenders in the Philadelphia and South Jersey areas. We Rescue, Rehabilitate & Re-home animals in need. We are grateful for the support of our amazing team & volunteers.
Animal Welfare Society mission is to assist the public by bridging the gap between animal control, animal shelters, and the public. Our outreach department assists with pet pantry items as well as fence building and medical assistance, and last but not least "Jamies Legacy" oversees community feral cats and our canine hospice program. Far Away Eyes

The scene this cat was sitting in captured me because of the strong darks and lights. It's almost like he was on stage with a spotlight on him. Not to mention that the cat is adorable!

I do confess to being a "dog person" but I love all creatures big and small.  :D

On The Hunt

Trying to catch up here as I see I'm falling behind. Life gets in the way sometimes as we all know.
Here is a recent painting I did of a cat. I loved the powerful dark and light shadows in the photograph and tried my best to capture them.

Cats are like music; it's foolish to try to explain their worth to those who don't appreciate them.
