From the way-back machine comes sailing by moonlight. I wanted to do a painting in funky colors and this is about as funky as I get. Peace, love, and sailboats.

Flowers From The Heart
Erin bought these flowers for me for my birthday. I love them so much that they were calling me to paint them.
I've also included my paint set up, although when I painted the flowers I didn't have the clear saucer under them.

Are you looking at me??
Thought I would take a stab at animal painting starting with a horse. I love the angle of the horse as it attempts to look behind. I found this photo on the internet and fell in love.

Let's Do The Wave
This was from a online course I took. I wanted to learn more about painting sea foam and of course, the sea foam part was skipped over. Argh!
16x20 canvas board
This is way bigger than the ones I usually paint, but I like using the bigger size now and then.

Did I offer peace today? Did I bring a smile to someone's face? Did I say words of healing? Did I let go of my anger and resentment? Did I forgive? Did I love?
These are the real questions. I must trust that the little bit of love that I sow now will bear many fruits, here in this world and the life to come.

I'll hide where no one can find me
I painted this little painting during my time off from Facebook. It was one of the few I was able to complete. Thank goodness painting doesn't hurt my hands as much as typing because I'd be in trouble because I love daily painting. It soothes the soul.

This painting was from a photo that was posted on Facebook. I wish I knew who posted it but for some reason I didn't mark this one. I love water; the ripples, the reflections, how the wind affects the water, everything!

I did an underpainting in burnt umber to bring out some of the warmth of the water. I'm glad to see it worked.

But I have found that in the simple act of living with hope, and in the daily effort to have a positive impact in the world, the days I do have are made all the more meaningful and precious. And for that I am grateful.

Angie's Trip
This is from a photo from a trip a friend made to Maligne Lake in Jasper National Park, Alberta Canada. There are some gorgeous photos that were taken and I may revisit them for more paintings. The area is beautiful!!

The road to happiness:
“You’ll
learn, as you get older, that rules are made to be broken. Be bold enough to
live life on your terms, and never, ever apologize for it. Go against the
grain, refuse to conform, take the road less traveled instead of the
well-beaten path. Laugh in the face of adversity, and leap before you look.
Dance as though EVERYBODY is watching. March to the beat of your own drummer.
And stubbornly refuse to fit in.”
